• Chief Minister Rekha Gupta flagged off the new DEVi fleet from the East Vinod Nagar depot on September 28.
• Transport officials launched 21 redesigned routes covering 625 bus stops to better match passenger demand across Yamuna Par.
• The AC DEVi buses include onboard CCTV, panic buttons and automated payment options for safer, faster boarding.
• Authorities described this as Delhi’s first route rationalisation to be studied for expansion across the city as part of operational upgrades.
• The launch formed part of Seva Pakhwada events with Union minister Harsh Malhotra in attendance, and DTC’s DEVi count rose to 974.
