Overview

• The government detailed seven focus areas spanning dust control, vehicular emissions, industry, waste and open burning prevention, citizen interface, monitoring, and green innovation.
• Citywide deployments now include 86 mechanical sweepers, 300 sprinklers, and 362 anti-smog guns, with 70 additional sweepers under procurement and strict 14-point construction dust norms in force.
• Vehicular enforcement intensifies with 578 field teams and real-time feeds from 953 PUC centers, with parking fees set to double under GRAP Stages III and IV to deter private vehicle use during severe episodes.
• Waste and burning controls feature 443 round-the-clock patrol teams, zero landfill fires reported in 2025, and a push for full PUSA decomposer coverage to suppress stubble burning within Delhi.
• Measures include strict enforcement of Supreme Court and CAQM curbs on polluting goods vehicles at borders, limited use of NEERI-certified green crackers on October 18–19 at licensed venues, and a pilot cloud-seeding program planned with IIT Kanpur and IMD subject to clearance.
