Overview

• Food safety teams, assisted by Delhi Police, inspected vehicles at Khoya Mandi near Mori Gate on October 1.
• Officers collected 11 legal and 9 survey samples of khoya from 11 vehicles for analysis.
• All samples were dispatched to the Lawrence Road laboratory with results expected within 14 days.
• Health Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh said enforcement teams remain deployed at markets, depots and manufacturing units for close monitoring.
• The stepped-up checks follow a recent northwest Delhi food-poisoning incident that left about 200 people ill during Navratri fasting.
