Overview

  • PWD has engaged consultants to study an approximately 5.75-kilometre elevated corridor linking Nanaksar Gurudwara T-Point and the Delhi-UP border near Tronica City at an estimated cost of Rs500 crore
  • The study will involve traffic counts, topographical mapping, soil investigations and assessments of environmental and heritage impacts to identify optimal alignment
  • The consultant team must secure No Objection Certificates from more than 20 agencies, including DUAC, UTTIPEC, ASI, DMRC and the fire department
  • In parallel, the PWD has initiated feasibility studies for an underpass at the Shadipur Depot junction and an elevated road on Desh Bandhu Gupta Road to alleviate central Delhi gridlocks
  • After detailed project reports are finalised, approvals, tendering and construction are expected to be completed within approximately two years
