Overview

• PWD minister Parvesh Verma chaired a review with BISAG-N on new digital tools for road management in the capital.
• A Road Asset Mapping application is in development to create a geo-tagged inventory of road assets, with a directive for assembly-wise reporting.
• A Project Monitoring System is being scoped to track PWD works over Rs 1 crore through real-time progress updates and issue flags.
• Streetlight defects will be tracked through a proposed digital mechanism that incorporates reports from Delhi Police, elected representatives and citizens, alongside a Dark Spot Monitoring System for unlit areas.
• A dashboard to log and track pothole and waterlogging complaints from multiple sources is being built, with no rollout timelines announced for any of the platforms.
