Overview

  • A biometric mismatch during a CBSE recruitment exam on April 20 in south Delhi revealed an impersonation scheme involving a ₹15 lakh deal.
  • Four individuals—Sachin, Nitin, Shyam Sunder, and Baljinder Singh—have been arrested, with Sachin confessing to impersonating candidates in multiple exams.
  • Nitin, the candidate, paid ₹12 lakh to Sachin to take the test on his behalf, while Shyam and Baljinder split the remaining ₹3 lakh as intermediaries.
  • Police recovered GSM Bluetooth devices, mobile phones, laptops, OMR sheets, admit cards, and attendance sheets as evidence of the scam.
  • Authorities are actively investigating the broader network and pursuing additional suspects, including another alleged impersonator, Sachin Dangi.
