Delhi Police Set Traffic Curbs for Nov. 7 Padh Yatra After Gurpurab Diversions

Police detail timed diversions, parking bans, emergency passage on routes near Chhattarpur.

  • Delhi Traffic Police issued an advisory for the Baba Bageshwar Dham Padh Yatra on November 7, starting 11:00 am from Adhya Katyayani Mandir, Chhattarpur, toward Vrindavan with an expected turnout of over 50,000.
  • Vehicle movement will be restricted on key stretches with defined windows: Y‑point–Dera More (SSN Marg) 11:00 am–8:00 pm, CDR Chowk–Y‑point 8:00 am–4:00 pm, Dera More–Y‑point 8:00 am–8:00 pm, Zeer Khod–Dera More 1:00 pm–10:00 pm on Nov 7 and 7:00 am–1:00 pm on Nov 8.
  • Parking is prohibited from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm on the CDR Chowk–Dera Mandi and Zeer Khod stretches, with vehicles to be towed and prosecuted for violations.
  • Commuters are advised to avoid SSN Marg, Chhattarpur Mandir Road and 100 Foot Road, using alternatives such as MG Road via CDR Chowk, Mandi Road, and Bandh Road to Mehrauli–Gurgaon Road; emergency vehicles will have free passage but are urged to steer clear of affected routes.
  • On November 4, central Delhi saw restrictions from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm for the Gurpurab Nagar Kirtan from Bhai Mati Dass Chowk to Gurdwara Nanak Piao Sahib, with diversions at Barafkhana Chowk, Ghanta Ghar Chowk, Boulevard Road and DCM Chowk.
