Overview

  • Delhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora inaugurated the ‘Cyber Safe Delhi’ campaign on July 26 at police headquarters with senior officers including Anil Shukla, Rajneesh Gupta and Sanjay Tyagi in attendance.
  • The citywide campaign spans all 15 police districts in partnership with the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre and IFSO to deliver real-time cyber safety guidance.
  • Events at Palika Bazaar, Ambience Mall (Vasant Kunj), OMAXE Mall (Chandni Chowk), City Centre Mall (Rohini) and Lotus Temple Auditorium feature street plays, short films and live demos on scams such as phishing, loan frauds and KYC spoofing.
  • A dedicated Jansampark Vahan and distribution of brochures facilitate one-on-one interactions aimed at strengthening preventive cyber hygiene among Delhi residents.
  • ‘Cyber Safe Delhi’ builds on the Delhi Police’s ‘We Care’ initiative that began with narcotics awareness in late June to expand thematic public outreach against digital vulnerabilities.
