Overview
- Four suspects — Mandeep Singh, Dalvinder Kumar, Rohan Tomar and Ajay alias Monu — were arrested after a November 19 tip led to a Crime Branch trap near Rohini’s Khatu Shyam Temple.
- Officers intercepted a white car and found eight pistols and 84 cartridges hidden in a speaker box, then recovered two more pistols and eight cartridges, taking the total to 10 pistols and 92 rounds.
- Police say the network used low-flying customised drones to drop consignments at GPS-marked points along the Pakistan–Punjab border, with encrypted communications, carbon-wrapped packages and hawala or proxy payments.
- The seized cache includes Turkiye-made PX-5.7 and China-made PX-3 pistols, and investigators allege links to ISI-backed suppliers, foreign handler Jaspreet ‘Jas’ and US-based gangster Sonu Khatri, with distribution to gangs active in Delhi-NCR.
- Multi-agency teams are examining mobile data, banking trails and routes to map the wider supply chain and potential overlaps with concurrent terror investigations, police said.
