Four suspects were arrested for impersonation bribery at a CBSE exam centre after original candidate’s identity documents were seized

  • The racket was uncovered on May 18 when the private school principal in Greater Kailash reported a suspected impersonation during the Junior Secretariat Attendant exam.
  • Sumit Dahiya was arrested for appearing in place of the registered candidate, Ankur, using the original Aadhaar and admit cards to gain entry to the CBSE-conducted test.
  • Police also held a physics teacher and an office superintendent who each accepted ₹50,000, along with a 40-year-old facilitator paid ₹2 lakh to coordinate the impersonation.
  • Investigators recovered Ankur’s identity documents and the OMR sheet filled out by the proxy, providing key evidence of the scheme.
  • Authorities are pursuing charges against the original candidate and the unknown middleman who orchestrated the ₹6 lakh impersonation deal.
