Overview

  • Special Cell officers detained Gaurav Singh, 22, and Aditya Tiwari, 19, near Khera Canal in Rohini after a tip-off and seized a pistol, four live cartridges and a mobile phone.
  • Officials say the pair acted on instructions from the Neeraj Faridpuria–Himanshu Bhau network, which allegedly arranged weapons, funds and logistics for the August 17 attack.
  • The accused disclosed they tried to flee toward the Indo–Nepal border after the Gurugram shooting before being recalled for another assignment in Delhi, according to police.
  • Gurugram and Faridabad operations earlier netted two others: Ishant alias Ishu Gandhi, injured in an encounter that recovered an illegal pistol, and Jatin, 24, who admitted supplying the motorcycle used.
  • An FIR for attempt to murder and Arms Act offences is on file; three masked men fired over two dozen rounds at Yadav’s Sector 56/57 residence, with the Bhau gang publicly claiming responsibility tied to betting app promotion.
