Overview

  • Special Cell officers detained Gaurav Singh, 22, and Aditya Tiwari, 19, near Khera Canal in Delhi’s Shahbad Dairy and recovered a pistol, four live cartridges and a phone.
  • The suspects disclosed they acted on instructions from the Neeraj Faridpuria–Himanshu Bhau gang, which allegedly provided weapons, funds and logistics.
  • Investigators say the duo tried to flee toward the Indo–Nepal border after the Gurugram shooting before being recalled for a fresh assignment in Delhi.
  • Earlier arrests include Ishant alias Ishu Gandhi, 19, held after an encounter in Faridabad, and Jatin, 24, accused of providing the motorcycle used in the attack; the bike was recovered.
  • The August 17 attack saw three masked men fire more than two dozen rounds at Yadav’s Gurugram home with no injuries reported, and a gang social‑media post claimed responsibility while accusing him of promoting betting apps, which police are verifying as part of the probe.
