Delhi Police Arrest Over 2,000 in 24-Hour 'Operation Kawach 11.0' Ahead of MCD Bypolls

  • Preventive actions featured 542 arrests under BNSS provisions, 2,516 people taken into preventive custody, 23,387 detained under the Delhi Police Act, checks on 3,837 known offenders, and 4,857 COTPA prosecutions.
  • Targeted busts highlighted the arrest of Lekh Raj in Narela with Tramadol and opium, two Nepal nationals held with charas in Sarita Vihar, and a Ghazipur interception yielding heroin and opium, with police calling the drive among their biggest single-day actions in recent years.
