• Rakesh Kadian alias Pampu was taken into custody on June 20 by the Delhi Police Special Cell following intelligence on his movements in Rohini.
• He is wanted for the February killing of Deepak alias Bhanja at Murthal’s Veer Dhaba and carried a Rs 20,000 reward from Haryana Police.
• Investigators seized a semi-automatic pistol, four live cartridges and a car linked to Kadian during the arrest.
• Kadian has faced more than 16 criminal cases since 2010, including murder, attempt to murder, extortion and arms offences across Delhi and Haryana.
• Officers believe he was seeking to rebuild his gang’s operations in Delhi after his 2024 parole release, prompting probes into his network.
