Delhi Police Arrest Nepali National Over ISI-Linked Indian SIM Supply Network

Investigators say 11 of 16 Aadhaar-activated numbers he routed through Nepal were later used on WhatsApp from Pakistan.

  • Police say he procured 16 SIM cards using his Aadhaar credentials in Bihar and Maharashtra before sending them to Kathmandu through conduits.
  • Officials report that 11 of those numbers showed activity on WhatsApp from Lahore, Bahawalpur and other locations in Pakistan.
  • The SIM-linked accounts were allegedly operated by ISI handlers to contact Indian Army personnel and pursue espionage goals.
  • Investigators recovered digital devices and SIM envelopes and registered a case under BNS sections 61(2) and 152, with efforts underway to trace associates, courier routes and foreign handlers.
