Delhi Police Arrest Four Over Punjabi Bagh Murder

Weapons recovery is under way after CCTV footage helped trace the four suspects with support from informers.

  • A quarrel near Punjabi Bagh Transport Centre around midnight on June 22 escalated into a deadly altercation in which Durgesh, 22, was fatally wounded.
  • Attackers used sharp-edged weapons and stones, leaving Durgesh dead and three friends with minor injuries.
  • Delhi Police examined more than 250 CCTV feeds and questioned witnesses to identify the perpetrators.
  • The arrested have been identified as Himanshu Paswan, Deepak, Parveen and Md Nekat, all aged between 20 and 22.
  • Police registered a case under relevant sections of the BNS code and continue their probe to recover the murder weapons.
