Delhi Police Arrest 7 in Outer North Extortion Crackdown, Seize Firearms

• The caller threatened to shoot victim Rajesh Kumar and referenced the recent Paschim Vihar firing, leading to an FIR under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita at Shahbad Dairy police station.
• Technical surveillance of call-detail records, IMEI data and real-time location signals led police to a Rohini handset and a raid that netted the trio.
• In a parallel operation, four associates of the Sonu Dariyapur gang — including habitual offender Sushil Bist — were arrested near Khera Khurd Road with three .32-bore pistols, two country-made pistols and live rounds.
• Separately, Ravi alias Panchi was overpowered after attacking two policemen with a knife; a loaded country-made pistol was recovered and he was booked under the BNS and the Arms Act as the injured officers were treated and discharged.
