Delhi Orders OMR Baseline Tests for Classes 2–8

The statewide exercise will map foundational literacy and numeracy gaps under NIPUN Sankalp using strict OMR rules and zonal oversight.

Overview

  • SCERT issued the order for the baseline assessments that schedule Hindi tests on August 27, English on August 29 and Mathematics on August 31.
  • Schools must register on the NIPUN Sankalp portal with a sign-up window that runs through August 25 and verify student records before testing.
  • OMR procedures require teachers to fully fill sheets for Classes 2–3 while teachers fill student details and Part B for Classes 4–8 and pupils complete Part A.
  • Logistics rules include a one-desk–one-student seating plan, class- and subject-wise packing of OMRs, the option to run multiple shifts, and a makeup window through September 5 for absentees.
  • Heads of schools and zonal officers are charged with deploying trained staff, monitoring conduct and packing of OMRs so results can be used to identify learning gaps and target remedial support.
