Overview

  • Chief Minister Rekha Gupta inaugurated the Mukhyamantri JanSeva Sadan at Bungalow Number 2 on July 4, establishing Delhi’s first dedicated public grievance centre.
  • Public hearings will take place every Wednesday from 8 am to 10 am and the centre will welcome walk-in visitors on Mondays between 9 am and 1 pm under a coordinated system of senior official oversight.
  • The inauguration featured a traditional havan ceremony and was attended by Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena, Union Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa and BJP MP Manoj Tiwari.
  • Adjacent Bungalow Number 1 is undergoing a ₹60 lakh refurbishment led by the Public Works Department, which includes installation of air conditioners, flood lights, chandeliers and other fixtures.
  • The centre is designed to prevent Delhiites from having to “run from pillar to post” by providing a single interface for complaints, suggestions and consultations as part of Gupta’s pledge to make public service the government’s supreme duty.
