Overview

  • A field-level mock drill simulated a 9:03 AM earthquake followed by staged chemical leaks at 55 sites across Delhi’s 11 districts and seven neighbouring NCR districts
  • Hundreds of personnel from NDMA, DDMA, the Indian Army, NDRF, Delhi Police, NGOs and resident welfare associations participated in coordinated rescue, evacuation and medical response exercises
  • Emergency vehicles, sirens and public address systems were activated while temporary command posts, staging areas, relief camps and medical aid stations replicated real disaster conditions
  • Residents received advisories urging calm and cooperation as they observed emergency teams and drills in schools, hospitals, markets and industrial zones
  • Collected after-action reports will be analysed to identify operational gaps and strengthen inter-agency coordination and resource mobilisation in Delhi-NCR’s disaster resilience framework
