Overview
- A state-level consultative workshop held at the Delhi Secretariat produced a set of recommendations that will feed the drafting of a comprehensive cyber security framework for the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
- The event, which convened on Thursday, was organised by the Delhi Information Technology Department in partnership with the National e-Governance Division of MeitY and brought together officials and external experts.
- IT Minister Dr. Pankaj Kumar Singh said securing government data is a commitment to citizens and pledged continued strengthening of Delhi's cyber architecture under Chief Minister Rekha Gupta's guidance.
- Participants reached consensus on sustained inter-departmental coordination, regular capacity building, security audits and adoption of incident-response practices and emerging technologies to raise resilience.
- Officials said the next steps include incorporating the workshop recommendations into the draft framework, running training and awareness programmes for departments and rolling out measures to protect critical information infrastructure and public digital services.
