Delhi Metro Ties Up With Bharat Taxi for App-Linked Last-Mile Pilot at 10 Stations This Month

A cooperative-backed platform will plug into DMRC’s Sarthi app to deliver app-based first/last-mile options with capped surges.

Overview

  • DMRC has signed an MoU with Sahkar Taxi Cooperative Ltd to introduce Bharat Taxi services as organised last‑mile mobility.
  • A limited rollout at 10 stations is planned by the end of January with integration into the DMRC Sarthi app for booking, tracking and fare estimates.
  • Dedicated bike taxi services will be deployed at Millennium City Centre and Botanical Garden by January 31 to evaluate commuter uptake and operations.
  • Officials said fares will be competitive with peak-time surge caps, and station signage will direct commuters to pick-up points.
  • The initial station list is yet to be finalised, with likely sites including New Delhi, Lajpat Nagar, Hauz Khas, Rajiv Chowk, Kashmere Gate, Vaishali, Sikandarpur and Nehru Place.
