Overview

  • Revised pricing took effect on August 25 across the network, including the Airport Express Line.
  • Standard lines now cost Re 1 to Rs 4 more per trip, while Airport Express fares are up by as much as Rs 5.
  • The minimum fare is Rs 11 and the weekday maximum is Rs 64; Sundays and national holidays carry lower slabs with a Rs 54 maximum.
  • Smart-card users continue to get 10% off every ride plus an extra 10% discount during off-peak hours (before 8 am, 12–5 pm, after 9 pm).
  • DMRC characterizes the change as minimal to sustain operations, as coverage captures commuter concerns about crowding, frequency and how added revenue will be used.
