Delhi Metro Raises Fares After Eight Years, Weekday Rides Now ₹11–₹64

Delhi Metro has effected a hike in passenger fares, with the increase ranging between ₹1 and ₹4 depending on the distance travelled.

  • The revision took effect on August 25, lifting fares by ₹1–₹4 across regular lines and by up to ₹5 on the Airport Express Line.
  • New weekday slabs are 0–2 km ₹11, 2–5 km ₹21, 5–12 km ₹32, 12–21 km ₹43, 21–32 km ₹54, and beyond 32 km ₹64.
  • On Sundays and national holidays, the maximum fare is ₹54, with the 21–32 km slab at ₹43 and short trips starting at ₹11.
  • Smart-card users keep a 10% discount plus an extra 10% during off-peak hours, and Multiple Journey QR Tickets offer 20% off during off-peak periods.
