Overview
- Rail Vikas Nigam Limited has secured the ₹447.42 crore Phase 4 contract to build the 7.3 km elevated link between Lajpat Nagar and Saket G Block.
- The project comprises eight elevated stations: Saket G Block, Pushp Vihar, Saket District Centre, Pushpa Bhawan, Chirag Delhi, Greater Kailash-1, Andrews Ganj and Lajpat Nagar.
- Detailed design and construction of the viaduct and stations will commence soon with a targeted completion within 36 months.
- This marks RVNL’s first assignment for the Delhi Metro, expanding its role beyond ongoing metro projects in eight other Indian cities.
- The new spur will connect with the Golden Line between Tughlakabad and Aerocity and deploy India’s inaugural three-coach train system.
