• The Lieutenant Governor issued the notification on Friday, placing 75 campuses in the Right to Education Act’s “specified category.”
• These institutions will function under the Directorate of Education as specialised schools aligned with NEP 2020 and NCFSE 2023.
• The model emphasises skill‑based, competency‑driven learning with AI‑enabled hubs, digital integration, experiential pedagogy and flexible assessments that aim to reduce exam stress.
• Schools will start either from the nursery level or from class 6, with class‑6 admissions conducted via an aptitude test to identify talented students.
• The plan was vetted by the Law, Planning and Finance departments and approved by the Delhi Cabinet in May, and officials say the order enables the first batch to operate in the next academic cycle.
