Overview

  • Delhi Police has mobilized 594 personnel for July 17–18 exercises at over ten strategic locations across the capital
  • Participating agencies include CISF, NDRF, NSG, Special Cell, SWAT, fire services, medical teams, Delhi Metro Police, Intelligence Bureau, traffic police and civil defence volunteers
  • Central control rooms and on-site command posts directed responses to simulated bomb blasts, CBRN threats, hostage situations and mass evacuations
  • The exercise builds on a June 27–28 mock drill at Rajiv Chowk Metro Station that simulated IED blasts, hostage scenarios and chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear threats
  • Authorities have urged residents to stay calm, cooperate with officials and rely on verified updates to avoid rumours during the drills
