Delhi Launches NextGen Hospital Digital Platform and Expands Primary Care Network

The new platform integrates 20 digital modules with ABHA IDs to centralize appointments and records under a citywide phased implementation.

Overview

  • The NextGen HIMS is now operational for OPD registrations in 35 government hospitals, offering 20 digital modules from OPD/IPD registration to lab diagnostics and inventory management.
  • Ayushman Bharat Health Account IDs are fully integrated with the platform, building on over 93 lakh ABHA IDs generated to unify patient records across Delhi.
  • Delhi’s network of Ayushman Arogya Mandirs has expanded to 67 centres, including 34 added this week, delivering services such as immunisation, antenatal care, TB and leprosy treatment, and non-communicable disease screening.
  • Eight new Jan Aushadhi Kendras raise the total to 25 outlets offering generic medicines at 50–80% below market prices to lower out-of-pocket costs.
  • Remaining HIMS modules and additional primary care centres under the Ayushman Bharat framework will be rolled out in phases as part of Delhi’s ongoing healthcare modernisation plan.
