Overview

  • Delhi's first dedicated Brain Health Clinic is now operational at Indira Gandhi Hospital in Dwarka, offering advanced diagnostics, treatment, and rehabilitation for neurological conditions.
  • The clinic provides services for disorders such as stroke, epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease, dementia, and migraines, along with counselling and tele-neurology follow-ups.
  • Supported by NITI Aayog and guided by IHBAS, the initiative aligns with Delhi’s vision of a future-ready health system and aims to integrate care across all 11 districts.
  • The National Task Force on Brain Health, established in April 2024, has played a key role in shaping this initiative under the leadership of Dr. Rajinder Kumar Dhamija.
  • Neurological disorders are the second leading cause of death globally, and this initiative aims to address the growing public health burden with accessible, district-level care.
