Overview

  • The unified smart travel card will work on DTC buses, Delhi Metro trains and the upcoming Regional Rapid Transit System for streamlined payments.
  • A pilot route rationalization developed with IIT Delhi will begin in Yamuna Vihar before a citywide rollout to optimize coverage and improve last-mile connectivity.
  • Upgrades to 4,627 bus queue shelters include weatherproof designs, solar panels, LED lighting and real-time arrival displays under a public–private partnership.
  • Major inter-state bus terminals at Kashmere Gate, Anand Vihar and Sarai Kale Khan will be remodeled with airport-style amenities to boost passenger comfort and safety.
  • A no-fare Pink Card for women and transgender commuters will allow free travel on DTC buses, complementing the capital’s growing fleet of 4,800 electric and CNG vehicles.
