Overview
- SCERT announced the initiative in a circular as the Directorate of Education named 50 government schools and selected 100 teachers for the first phase.
- Phase 1 consists of a two-day capacity-building programme on October 8–9 for 100 computer science teachers who will serve as resource persons or master trainers.
- Phase 2 will deliver school-level training for teachers of Mathematics, Science, English, Hindi and Social Science for Classes 6 and 9, with each school nominating three per subject.
- The programme focuses on using AI tools to personalise learning and make assessments more meaningful, with added support for tasks such as creating presentations and planning activities.
- Officials say follow-up sessions and teacher feedback will track implementation, and tools cited include Gamma for rapid slide creation and Napkin for text-to-image generation.
