IMD flags dense fog with a potential cold wave into early week, prolonging travel disruptions.

  • Southern coastal districts faced orange alerts for heavy to very heavy rain, squally winds and rough seas, with fishermen advised to avoid the Bay of Bengal and adjoining waters.
  • Karachi remained in a cold spell, with PMD readings as low as 7.1°C at Jinnah Terminal and forecasts indicating several more days of unusually low temperatures.
