  • Justice Saurabh Banerjee issued a dynamic injunction on July 10 restraining 21 alleged infringers from manufacturing, selling or advertising products falsely bearing Reliance and Jio trademarks
  • Amazon, Flipkart, Meesho, Snapdeal, IndiaMART, Vyapar Times and MyDukaan must delist items such as poha, wheat flour, makhana, pulses, lentils and salt
  • The court found that unauthorized use of well-known marks amounts to misrepresentation that could mislead rural and semi-literate consumers
  • Online marketplaces are directed to provide complete seller information including postal addresses, email contacts and bank details to aid enforcement against counterfeiters
  • Reliance Industries filed its suit in mid-June after detecting widespread misuse of its trademarks across FMCG listings on digital platforms
