Delhi Govt, DDCA Award Rs 2 Crore to Pratika Rawal After World Cup Win

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced Rs 1.5 crore from the Delhi government for Pratika Rawal, with the DDCA adding Rs 50 lakh for a total of Rs 2 crore.
Rawal was felicitated at Jan Seva Sadan in New Delhi in the presence of her father Pradeep, Education Minister Ashish Sood, and DDCA President Rohan Jaitley.
She scored 308 runs in seven matches at the 2025 ICC Women’s World Cup, ranking fourth overall behind Laura Wolvaardt, Smriti Mandhana, and Ashleigh Gardner.
An ankle injury in the group stage sidelined her for the semi-final and final, and she joined the post-final celebrations in a wheelchair.
The ICC made an exception to issue her a 16th winner’s medal despite not being in the final 15, with reports differing on which opponent she was injured against.
