Overview

  • On July 14, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta chaired a high-level meeting where the DDA vice-chairman presented the draft blueprint of the Master Plan Delhi 2041
  • The government has asked the DDA, MCD and other key departments to submit comprehensive suggestions and feedback on the proposed roadmap
  • The draft plan, approved by Lt Governor V K Saxena in February 2023 and sent to the Union Ministry in April 2023, remains stalled without final clearance
  • Officials will review the collected inputs and then decide whether to formally re-submit the revised plan or forward selected recommendations to the central ministry
  • Preparatory work under the draft includes developing roughly 1,200 acres at Kanjhawla, Ranikhera and Baprola as PPP-based high-tech industrial clusters
