Delhi Government Reshuffles Police Leadership, Names Vikramjit Singh as Anti-Corruption Chief

The Home Department reassigned 12 officers across anti-corruption, economic offences, housing units, reinforcing capacity to pursue high-profile graft investigations.

  • Vikramjit Singh, a 2006-batch IPS officer, took charge as Joint Commissioner of Police for the Anti-Corruption Branch, replacing Madhur Verma.
  • Madhur Verma was moved to the role of Joint Commissioner of Police (Central Range) after leading multiple FIRs against former AAP ministers.
  • Rajesh Khurana became Special Commissioner of Police at Delhi Police Housing Corporation Limited while Neeraj Thakur assumed charge of the Provisioning and Finance Division.
  • Garima Bhatnagar was appointed Special Commissioner of Police for the Economic Offences Wing and Nupur Prasad became Joint Commissioner of Police for the same unit.
  • Additional senior officer transfers are expected following the retirement of Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora at the end of July.
