Overview

• The Delhi government floated requests for proposals to appoint a concessionaire for Bhorgarh (Bawana Phase II) and set up project management units in nine other industrial areas.
• Selected concessionaires will be responsible for upgrading roads, stormwater drainage, street lighting, security systems, waste management and public spaces.
• Completion of pre-bid meetings marks a key step in the PPP tender process aimed at delivering efficient and pollution-free industrial infrastructure.
• The PPP model demonstrated its effectiveness in Bawana and Narela, where upgrades such as smart lighting and CCTV surveillance are already in place.
• The DSIIDC will plant 85,000 green units in 2025–26 as part of environmental measures and plans to extend redevelopment across all its industrial zones within a year.
