- Labour Minister Kapil Mishra led a review with the Labour Commissioner to assess readiness to publish and notify rules under the Code on Social Security and the other labour codes.

- The government moved to expedite the constitution of Welfare Boards and the rollout of welfare schemes for unorganised, gig, platform and construction workers.
- All pending rules under the four labour codes were ordered to be finalised quickly so benefits can be delivered swiftly and transparently once notified.
- Officials said the four codes replace 29 laws and newly cover gig and platform workers while shifting construction workers from the BOCW Act to the Social Security Code, with registration and implementation systems now being prepared.
