Overview
- A 4.5 km trunk drain along the railway from Mundka Halt is planned at Rs 220.93 crore with a 1,520-acre catchment and 760 cusecs capacity, backed by an MoU with Railways and a 15‑month build after approvals.
- The MB Road stormwater project spans 11.38 km of roadway with 22.76 km of drains at Rs 387.84 crore under PWD, slated for 2.5 years including pre‑construction, with utilities relocation and about 500 tree transplants or felling.
- A 7.2 km Kirari–Rithala trunk drain by DDA costs Rs 250.21 crore with 1,160 cusecs capacity, about 600 metres completed after clearance to fell 84 trees.
- Stormwater improvements along Rohtak Road (NH‑10) are underway at Rs 184 crore with Rs 105 crore from the Centre’s SASCI scheme and a target completion by March 2026.
- The program integrates secondary drains into strengthened trunk lines to speed discharge to the Yamuna and relieve pressure on the sewer network across West, South and North‑West Delhi.
