Delhi Expands Mission Mathematics to Classes 6 and 7

Overview

  • The Delhi Directorate of Education will extend Special Mathematics Enrichment coaching to students in classes 6 and 7 from the 2025–26 session, with sessions scheduled to start July 7.
  • Learners will be selected for enrichment classes based on prior performance thresholds, including below-par scores, grace marks or compartment exam passes, with teacher recommendations allowed.
  • Digital resources—comprising weekly worksheets, activity sheets and daily practice questions—will be distributed three times a week to reinforce key mathematical concepts.
  • The State Council of Education Research and Training will conduct experiential learning workshops for maths teachers and organise competitions to create innovative teaching materials.
  • Each zone will form a Zonal Mission Mathematics Committee led by a deputy director, using a centralised digital module to track student attendance and academic progress.
