Overview

  • The Environment Department’s Expression of Interest, issued July 3, is now open to expert institutions, NGOs and think tanks offering pro bono technical assistance.
  • Each selected organisation must deploy two volunteers aged 30 to 40 for an initial six-month engagement at the Delhi Secretariat, with a possible six-month extension.
  • The EoI identifies 18 priority areas, including air quality monitoring, source apportionment, industrial and vehicular emissions control, waste management, clean fuels and electric mobility.
  • Applicants are required to declare neutrality, avoid political affiliations, sign confidentiality agreements and serve without financial compensation, with a departmental committee overseeing selection.
  • Deployed experts will work with more than 30 departments to bolster CAQM-mandated initiatives such as the winter action plan, National Clean Air Programme, Comprehensive Action Plan and Graded Response Action Plan.
