Overview

  • The second round of online admissions for children with special needs in private unaided schools runs from June 2 to June 22, with a lottery draw scheduled for July 1.
  • It targets unfilled seats reserved under the Right to Education Act’s 3% quota for children with special needs within the 25% EWS/DG allocation.
  • Age limits have been broadened to 3–7 years for Nursery, 4–8 for kindergarten and 5–9 for Class 1 while parents must provide Aadhaar details to prevent duplicate applications.
  • Applicants must submit a government-issued disability certificate though schools may grant provisional admission based on assessment reports pending formal certification.
  • Any school collecting capitation or donation fees faces fines of up to ten times the collected amount under DoE regulations.
