• The Delhi Development Authority launched Tuesday a unified online portal under its Online Building Permit System to process building approvals in the capital.
• The platform lets citizens, architects, homeowners and developers submit plans, upload documents and apply for multiple No Objection Certificates, which are agency clearances like utility and fire approvals, in one place.
• AI-based plan scrutiny and automated compliance checks aim to cut manual handling and reduce errors in the review process.
• Applicants can track cases in real time, pay fees online and receive digitally signed approvals with instant SMS and email updates, which reduces repeat trips to DDA offices.
• The L-G Secretariat and senior DDA officials will review the system periodically to assess performance and address complaints linked to delays and corruption.
