Overview

• Union Minister Harsh Malhotra conducted a full-stretch inspection of the 210-km Delhi-Dehradun Expressway on May 17, 2025.
• The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) reported that remaining construction will be completed within the next three months.
• The expressway will reduce travel time between Delhi and Dehradun from 6.5 hours to 2.5 hours, enhancing regional connectivity.
• Key features include a 12-km elevated wildlife corridor through Rajaji National Park and a 340-m Daat Kali tunnel to support environmental integration.
• The project, which began in 2020 with a ₹12,000 crore budget, also includes a spur to Haridwar and a link to the Char Dham Highway.
