Adani Enterprises told the Delhi High Court it will pause new takedown requests during the pending appeals.

Overview

  • District Judge Sunil Chaudhary ruled that Paranjoy Guha Thakurta need not comply with the September 6 ex-parte restraint until the senior civil judge issues fresh orders.
  • The trial court was directed to hear Thakurta alongside other defendants on September 26 at 2 pm to consider interim relief under Order 39 Rules 1 and 2.
  • The September 6 order by Senior Civil Judge Anuj Kumar Singh had directed takedowns and restrained further publication, parts of which were already set aside for four journalists on September 18 by District Judge Ashish Aggarwal.
