Overview

  • Additional Sessions Judge Saurabh Partap Singh Laler ordered the warrant after Yadav failed to attend Monday’s hearing despite repeated calls at Patiala House Courts.
  • The court issued a notice to his surety under Section 491 of the Bharatiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita and listed the matter for October 17, 2025.
  • U.S. authorities have separately named Yadav in an indictment alleging a murder-for-hire plot targeting Sikh activist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun.
  • The Delhi case stems from a Rohini FIR by businessman Raj Kumar Walia alleging kidnapping and extortion in the name of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi; Yadav was arrested on December 18, 2023 and later released on bail after a chargesheet was filed.
  • Co-accused Abdullah Khan received an extension of passport release until October 17 for his father’s treatment, and all three accused, including Jalaluddin alias Sameer, remain on bail.
