Delhi Court Extends NIA Custody of 3 Doctors and a Preacher by Four Days in Red Fort Blast Probe

Principal and Sessions Judge Anju Bajaj Chandna granted the extension after the initial 10-day remand expired under tight security that kept reporters out of the courtroom.
The four accused produced in court were Dr Muzammil Ganai, Dr Adeel Rather, Dr Shaheena Saeed and Maulvi Irfan Ahmed Wagay.
The NIA says it is following multiple leads and carrying out coordinated searches across several states to identify additional participants and to probe funding, planning and recruitment.
Investigators say seven arrests have been made so far in a case linked to a “white-collar” module previously flagged by the Jammu and Kashmir Police.
According to investigators, an explosives-laden Hyundai i20 driven by Dr Umar-un-Nabi detonated outside the Red Fort on November 10, killing 15 people and injuring several others.
