Delhi Cook Beaten to Death and Assaulted Over Spilled Food on Bus
Police have arrested one suspect while two others remain at large after a brutal attack on a 28-year-old man in northwest Delhi's Bawana area.
- Manoj, a 28-year-old cook, was attacked on February 1 after accidentally spilling food inside a private bus while returning from a wedding function.
- The bus driver, conductor, and a helper allegedly beat Manoj, forced him to clean the seat with his shirt, and sexually assaulted him with a rod.
- The attackers dumped Manoj's unconscious body near the Bawana flyover, where he was later found and pronounced dead at a hospital.
- A postmortem confirmed severe internal injuries, including wounds to his genitals, but police ruled out sodomy.
- One suspect has been arrested, while efforts are underway to apprehend the driver and a third accomplice who are currently absconding.
