Overview
- Built by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi for ₹63.74 crore, the multilevel facility in Greater Kailash-I can accommodate 399 vehicles across seven levels and a basement to ease congestion in the busy market.
- The site uses a fully automated shuttle-type system with driverless shuttles and lifts that park and retrieve cars without human intervention.
- Officials said the facility will operate under a 10-year operation and maintenance plan designed to ensure reliable upkeep.
- Safety provisions include a 1.5 lakh litre underground water tank and firefighting systems integrated into the structure.
- Inaugurated during the Seva Pakhwada drive, the rollout aligns with Chief Minister Rekha Gupta’s pledge to install roughly 100 automated parking facilities citywide, alongside new sewer, road and lighting works launched in Shalimar Bagh.
