Delhi CM Flags Off 40 E-Buses as Upgraded Azadpur Terminal Opens

Gupta used the rollout to dispute AAP claims on outages, DTC finances, pollution.

  • The Chief Minister launched 40 electric buses at the refurbished Azadpur terminal, following a November 14 rollout of 50 e-buses.
  • The terminal will handle 116 buses across 21 routes and includes a bus pass counter, a baby feeding room and a modern waiting lounge.
  • A new foot overbridge connects the terminal directly to Azadpur Metro Station to strengthen intermodal travel.
  • Gupta claimed her eight-month-old administration has added about 1,400 electric buses, contrasting it with 2,000 added in 11 years under the previous government.
  • She dismissed AAP allegations of citywide power cuts as fabricated and accused the former administration of weakening DTC finances, including an undervalued asset sale, with these assertions reported as her claims.
